DOKOH SHOJI CO., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) handles personal information based on the following
so that customers may use our products and various services with peace of mind.
01.Management System
The Company shall maintain an accurate and up-to-date system to manage customers’ personally identifiable information (hereinafter referred to as “Personal Information”) that we collect. The company shall implement all necessary and appropriate measures to protect Personal Information (information security measures), and to prevent unauthorized access, tampering, and leakage by third parties.
Additionally, the company shall regularly provide employee training in Personal Information protection, and endeavor to maintain and strengthen the management system.
02.Collecting Personal Information
The Company collects personal information by lawful and fair means.
When purchasing the Company’s product(s), using the website and/or various services, contacting the customer service center, and/or participating in various marketing activities, the customer may be requested to provide Personal Information, such as name, address, phone number, age, date of birth, gender, email address, occupation, usage of various services, opinions and inquiries. The Company shall collect such Personal Information directly from the customer within the scope of purpose to fulfill necessary business.
03.Purpose of Collecting Personal Information
The Company collects and uses the Personal Information of the customer in order to make secure and accurate transactions with the customer and to offer better products and services. More specifically, the Personal Information is used by the Company within the scope of purpose to fulfill necessary business, including, but not limited to, delivery and service of products including cosmetics, health food, health equipment, and beauty treatments; to reference for research and development of products and services; to create statistical data and presentation materials; to conduct sales activities including offering product and service information by telephone and direct mail, as well as to record and manage feedback and inquiry.
04.Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
The customer’s Personal Information may be disclosed or provided to third parties in the following situations.
1) When the Company has the customer’s consent.
2) When required by law.
3) Within the scope of purpose to fulfill necessary business as informed to the customer.
4) When the Company needs to share or disclose the Personal Information within the necessary scope with a contractor hired by the Company in order to fulfill necessary business as informed to the customer. In this case, the Company shall impose obligations upon the contractor(s) to ensure secure information management equivalent to the Company’s.
05.Disclosure, Change, and Suspension of Use of Personal Information
If the customer wishes to obtain any Personal Information provided to the Company, the request will be handled promptly in accordance with laws and regulations upon verification of identity, unless we have an excepional reason. In addition, if the customer wishes to change or delete any Personal Information provided to the Company, the request will be handled promptly in accordance with laws and regulations upon verification of identity.

06.Retention and Deletion of Personal Information
The Personal Information shall be properly and safely maintained and managed during the period determined by the Company; and the Company shall delete the Personal Information when the period has expired.
07.Compliance with Laws and Improvement/Modification of Data Management
The Company complies with “Act on the Protection of Personal Information” and other Japanese laws and regulations pertaining to Personal Information and reviews the handling of Personal Information in a timely manner, endeavoring to make improvements and modifications when necessary.
